Program Note: Mrs. Manoranjini talked about Cyber Stalking, Cyber Defamation, Cyber Hacking, and Cyber Bullying. She gave an example to avoid exchanging old mobile phones with new ones as data within it can be misused to harass the phone owner or others and commit other crimes including phishing. Do not leave your mobile phone/laptop unattended or without password protection with anyone. Also, she explained their legal rights included the right to live free from violence and discrimination; to enjoy the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health; to be educated; to own property; to vote; and to earn an equal wage.

Program Note: There were 74, participants who benefitted from the free medical camp. The health check-up facilities such as Blood Pressure, weight, and height measurements were assessed by the intern students and the examination of the patients was facilitated by Dr. Latha respectively. Based on their health conditions and issues the prescribed medicines were distributed. The aim and objective of the free medical camp was to reach out to the people who were residing in the slum who were lacking the necessities of life. Furthermore, it was a program to give them basic hygienic instruction which can improve their life.

Program Note: BIRDS every year in the month of March celebrating International women’s day for women and that was best period to show gratitude their service and encourage them to come forward and enlighten their life. SHG members, college students and children gave wonderful stage performance – Dance, Song, skit, and Mainly women SHG members Fashion show performance was boosted & entertained the crowd. Program Note:The motive of our camp was not only to treat the acute and treatable cases but also to identify Special cases, provide health counselling to people about their health condition, and promote awareness of their health and hygiene. During our camp, we identified common health issues among them including cough, cold, headaches, fever, body pain, diabetes, skin diseases, and vitamin deficiencies and most of the children are malnourished. The teamwork and commitment of the BIRDS team were appreciable. We tried our best to create health awareness and disease prevention for migrant people, especially pregnant women, and children. After witnessing their poor health condition, we will continue our health programs there in the future.

Program Note:Those camps were started with plantation of saplings and gave message to the society “Save the nature and save life”. It was carried out for a full day from morning to evening. On moving the place, before day volunteers from the degree college social work students gave awareness about personal health & hygiene to village people and mobilized for the camp. Around 200 people participated & got a benefit from the camps, of those participants children 61.5%, elders 35.5%. Both village participants have received basic health checkups such as full body test, blood pressure (hyper-tension), height & weight (BMI). Assigned a qualified medical practitioner for medical examinations, health consultations, and provide quality medicines to the people. Also, we have enquired about their illnesses as well as assisted to their health needs and requirements.

Program Note:The BIRDS team successfully completed the formation of children parliament at Kylalasanahalli Govt. school with help of school faculties and children. Followed the below-mentioned methods well forming a children parliament. On 1st August 2024 started the process of election and 7th August 2024 we enclosed the formation process with oath taking ceremony. Mr. Gnana Prakash, Miss. Mythri BIRDS faculty, Mrs. Maria and other school facilities and BIRDS internship students join hands for a valuable outcome.

Program Note:This visit aimed to facilitate an exchange of experiences and knowledge between different SHG women, equipping them with new skills to support efforts in poverty reduction through the creation of self-employment opportunities in community. Mr. Partha, the Project Director, presented a thought-provoking PowerPoint presentation and he detailly explained about the Self Help group functions and activities. The visit continued with a tour of model SHGs and their business models. The members visited garments run by Sri Vinayaka Shree Sakthi Sanga and Anandha Bhavani Shree Sakthi Sanga from the past 5 years comprising of 25 to 30 women. It enabled participants to interact and learn from each other, providing practical examples of successful integration of sustainable practices in development work. Through observation, the members gained insights into various successful SHG businesses, market linkages, pricing, profits, and explored the possibilities of starting their own.
Highly appreciable BIRDS and IPDP team came together for success of the visit. Overall, the exposure visit broadened the participants perspectives and reinforced the importance of collaboration and innovation in their own endeavors. It was a day marked by learning, inspiration, and a renewed commitment to making a meaningful impact for beginning a new path of their own.

Program Note :BIRDS organization has taken the initiative to provide 4-wheeler driving training and 6-month Fashion designing training for unemployed youths and women, these skills to enable them to get into a skilled based job as a result with the support of ASHA Charitable Trust.
On 4th September 2024, we inaugurated a Job oriented skill training program with number of 40 needy beneficiaries. Program begun with prayer song and lighting the lamp. Main guest are motivated gathered people by their significant talks, and they interacted with the candidates.
